Accessibility.

One of the lesser considered aspects of web design is accessibility.  Over 10% of the online population has a disability of one description, which means that there are potentially a lot of people who could have difficulties accessing your website.

Fortunately, Bluhalo takes accessibility very seriously indeed.   All our designers, web developers and programmers are aware of the recent changes to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, implemented in October 2004.

You can be assured that the website Bluhalo builds for you will adhere to the industry guidelines laid down by The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and guidelines made by W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG).

Our expert design team has a checklist to make sure they are taking accessibility into consideration at all stages of the design process. Design concepts are reviewed for accessibility and amendments made if necessary. Our developers and programmers have checklists to check the pages and code, and the pages are then reviewed for quality assurance.

We use a battery of manual checks and automated tools to check that accessibility is spot-on throughout your website.  Making sure that your website is accessible is part of your corporate social responsibility and part of our everyday life.  Bluhalo is here to help you make sure that your website is one you can feel proud of, and one that everyone can enjoy.
