MySpace has announced the launch of a new website design for its mobile portal.
The social networking website said at the Mobile World Congress that the new site is now more consistent with its full-featured website for desktop users and features a new user interface optimised for devices with a screen width of 176 pixels or bigger.
Users can configure email photo uploads through the site, which has been developed in 13 languages and localised for 29 countries. Currently, MySpace has more than 20 million unique users of its mobile site and apps.
MySpace also announced plans to launch new apps in Nokia's S60 runtime environment, as well as for Palm's new webOS platform.
"We want our users to be able to access MySpace from any device," remarked John Faith, vice-president and general manager of MySpace Mobile.
The main MySpace website underwent a major redesign last year, which included the addition of new features and a revamped layout.
