Leading pay-per-action marketing network LinkShare has announced the launch of a new Web Services sales tracking technology, promising advertisers better results.
The group will offer advertisers greater security in the transfer of information and up-to-speed real-time transaction data, in order to best track customers and allow savvy ad placement.
The Internet Advertising Bureau recently backed ad-tracking, claiming that with such a wealth of advertising confronting web users, at least a more personalised approach would be preferable.
Steve Denton, president of LinkShare, said: "Our new Web Services tracking technology can be used to track any kind of transaction from any kind of creative on the wired web or the mobile web.
"LinkShare's LSTrans was the first enterprise-level tracking solution, and once again we are first with Web Services-based, server-to-server real-time delivery of transaction data."
Promising better security for advertisers, the firm said that its enhanced tracking techniques such as MD5 hashing with private cryptographic keys would allow the identification and verification of partners.
