'Even small businesses' need a website

It is important for all businesses, regardless of size, to have a website that consumers can find and that differentiates them from their rivals.
This is the suggestion of a new article by TechNewsWorld, which outlined the basics of website design in an attempt to encourage small firms to set up their own online portals.
According to Thomas Herbert of web hosting company Hostway, websites are becoming increasingly "media heavy" in order to meet growing demand from consumers for content that is engaging.
He mentioned DVD websites offering preview clips of upcoming movie releases as an example and stated that such content becomes more important as Christmas approaches because it is such a busy time of year for ecommerce.
Michael Schultz, a spokesman for Microsoft, told TechNewsWorld: "Besides the fact that people need to find you, a website is a wonderful way to differentiate yourself - and that's especially important in today's economic environment."
