Professionally-produced rich media 'gaining traction'

Online videos produced by professionals are becoming more popular - signalling a potential opportunity in the advertising sector.
This is according to Jamie Estrin of online video advertising network Web TV Enterprise, who noted that the early days of video on the internet saw user-generated content come to the fore.
However, more professionally-produced videos that are relevant to users are now making their way to the web.
"Naturally, advertisers want to communicate with the people engaging with this content everyday," Mr Estrin explained.
"Every advertiser has their target audience and they want to know what they are doing."
He went on to predict that online video advertising revenue will rise in tandem with the consumption of internet-based rich media over the next few years.
The comments came after Web TV Enterprise revealed last October that demand for online video advertising had soared by 400 per cent in the previous 12 months.
