Popular gaming website GameSpot UK has undergone a redesign in a bid to expand its audience and improve usability and accessibility.
Announcing the relaunch earlier this week, CNET Networks UK, which owns the site, said that the revamp makes better use of rich media through an in-page video player and interactive features.
The website features a new layout incorporating a multi-column, widescreen format and dynamic navigation on the left-hand side, while the Community Hub offers users a greater role in contributing to the site through user-generated content and the appearance of profiles on every page.
"With platforms and games reaching ever-higher levels of quality, we have seen an explosion in the number of people gaming," commented Laura Jenner, site manager for GameSpot UK.
"The move to redesign the site reflects this and we believe it offers easy access to all our great content and a more interactive and sociable experience for all our users."
Other entertainment websites owned by CNET Networks include SportsGamer, mp3.com, GameFAQs, tv.com and Metacritic.
Earlier this year, CNET Networks announced that GameSpot UK saw record monthly audience figures last year, according to ABC Electronic figures.
