The Telegraph is to launch a redesigned website later this month, it has emerged.
According to the Guardian, the new site was created with the help of feedback from focus groups, with the newspaper aiming to get more users to look at a greater number of articles during every visit.
Some of the changes include a cleaner design for the homepage utilising new typography, as well as better use of space around stories, an A-Z index and simpler top-of-the-page navigation.
While Telegraph TV will not be as key a feature as it was previously, videos will be embedded throughout the site, according to Journalism.co.uk.
"We wanted to enrich the front end functionality to users, but also make sure the platform behind the scenes would give potential for growth over the next few years," commented Paul Cheesbrough, chief technical officer at the Telegraph Media Group.
"[We wanted to] clean up the navigation and findability of content across the site ... and thirdly, like everyone, we are trying to make the most of monetising our content," he added, according to the Guardian.
The redesign will initially be applied to the website's news, sport and travel sections and comes as the Telegraph prepares to make a switch from Microsoft Office products to Google's Apps suite.
