Google, owner of video streaming site YouTube, was the top online video property in the US in March, a new report indicates.
According to new comScore figures, the search leader accounted for more than 4.3 billion of the 11.5 billion web videos watched during the month in the US.
And YouTube - which was bought by the web giant for $1.65 billion (£848.29 million) in 2006 - represented 98 per cent of the Google share.
Ranking next to Google was Fox Interactive Media, responsible for 477 million video views in March, while the corresponding figures for Yahoo and Viacom were 328 million and 249 million respectively.
Speaking at a conference in California recently, chief executive officer of Google Eric Schmidt said that the company was thinking about new approaches to internet advertising on YouTube.
The firm is set to concentrate on monetising its investment in the video streaming site this year.
