Internet video streaming 'up 66% in a year'

Online video streaming in the US grew by 66 per cent between February 2007 and the same month this year, a new report indicates.
According to comScore, US web users viewed over ten billion web videos in February, representing a three per cent hike on January figures.
Sites owned by Google - including YouTube - attracted the most consumers during the month, with 81.8 million people spending an average of 109 minutes each engaged with video streaming.
Meanwhile, 55.7 million people watched digital multimedia content on Fox Interactive sites and 37.1 million viewed video on Yahoo! sites, while content broadcast on web spaces owned by Microsoft received 27.1 million viewers.
Google also led in terms of videos viewed, taking a 35.4 per cent share of all broadcasts with almost 3.6 billion videos watched during February.
The Internet Advertising Bureau recently said that video streaming and web TV are now part of everyday media culture.
