The web presence of Salford City Council had been praised for its accessibility.
In the Socitm Insight Better Connected report, the site was the only council cyber space of the 468 surveyed to pass a range of tests measuring accessibility.
And the site was also one of just four that achieved a rating of "excellent, being commended by the report for its usability and local focus.
The achievement marks the third time in 12 months the council's website has been recognised on a national level. It was also the winner of the Local Authority Website of the Year and the Accessibility in Focus awards.
Councillor Bill Hinds, lead member for customer and support services at the council, commented: "We have a dedicated team who work very hard to make sure our website goes above and beyond people's expectations and I'm delighted that we've been rewarded for this yet again."
The Customer Respect Group claims that investing in accessibility is a savvy move not just socially but from a financial perspective.
