Price comparison site 'sees 79 per cent growth'

Online product comparing service moneysupermarket.com saw growth of 79 per cent in January, new figures have revealed.
According to comScore's top 50 UK web rankings for the first month of 2008, the website reached the position of 20 in January with 6.6 million visitors.
The price comparing site was fifth on the list of the top ten gaining properties between December 2007 and the following month, which was headed by First Choice Holidays, followed by Arcandor AG, TUI Group and British Airways.
Meanwhile, the list of the top ten gaining site categories last month was headed by car rental, with career resources in second place and job search in third.
Hotels/resorts and airlines were in fourth and fifth places respectively, making travel one of the most significant sectors in terms of web progress at the beginning of the year.
The American Customer Satisfaction Index from the University of Michigan revealed a two per cent increase in the satisfaction of e-commerce customers.
