An entrepreneurial speaker is relying on website development to help her reach businesses outside of her original sector, the travel industry.
Deirdre Bounds rose to success as the founder of i-to-i, an ethical travel company she has since sold on.
But now she is looking to extend her expertise to other areas, with website development one way of doing so.
"I'm broadening my speaker role beyond the travel sector which I was predominantly known for," she says.
"So it's important that my website appears in search results around other sectors and subjects."
The move comes 18 months after she first launched her website, with the portal also becoming an ecommerce platform for sales of her new book.
Ms Bounds has made numerous television appearances during her career, claiming that "the media has been good to me".
Her contributions to GMTV, Radio Four, Radio Five Live and Sky News have been complemented by taking part in Channel 4's Wife Swap, she reveals.
