Online marketers and web developers urged to communicate

The importance of good communication between online marketers and web developers has been highlighted as a major issue when attempting to set up an internet marketing strategy.

Writing on his blog, Dream Systems Media's Mat Siltala claimed there often exists "a huge communication gap between most web developers and SEOs/internet marketers".

He explained that this is often the case because web developers feel capable of building the website for the online marketer without needing any additional input, however, Mr Sitala argues such a move can leave an online marketer without a bespoke website that can attract the type of customer they are looking for.

"You each bring something amazing to the table and need each other," he suggested.

He argued both sides need to engage in discussions to ensure that the online marketer's vision is seen through and delivered to a high standard.

Virtual personal assistant tool Catch Friday has recently commented on the importance of good web design.

The organisation suggested a high standard of design can not only bring in new customers but ensure client interest remains in the products on offer.
