The Twitter Revolution
October 29th 08, 10:24
The phenomenon that is Twitter.com goes from strength to strength, but what is amazing with such a simple concept is the number of “bi-products” it has led to being created. The list below is by no means exhaustive but is a good example of how one site inspires many…
Useqwitter
If someone stops following you on Twitter, it tells you who. I’m not sure why you would want to know though!
Cursebird
Tells you who is swearing on twitter and about what. Can be very amusing.
Twitterfone
Available in the USA only at the moment, Twitterfone lets you leave voicemail messages which are posted as text to your twitter account.
Twitterfeed
Get your blogs onto twitter, a very good product.
Tweetbeep
Alerts you when certain phrases or keywords are tweeted. A great application if you are after general knowledge on certain topics, but best used with more niche keywords.
Twitterholic
Lists who is popular based on the number of subscribers.
Tweetrush
Provides stats on twitter usage based on users, interesting to find the “auto” users - those that are bots that report news stories for example.
Tweetdeck
Not a website but a cool Adobe Air based application that runs on your desktop and shows the latest activity in your account.
